Exercise PhysiologyWhen applied appropriately, exercise truly is medicine to a broad range of chronic and acute health conditions.
Accredited Exercise Physiologists are the industry leaders in exercise prescription for the treatment and management of disease and injury. Accredited Exercise Physiologists are recognised health practitioners whom have completed a minimum four year University degree, and a min. 500 hours of clinical practice hours. They are required to maintain strict continuing education and professional development standards as outlined by their governing body Exercise and Sports Science Australia. Aspire Health & Rehabilitation's practitioners have a diverse range of knowledge and experience and can cater for not only musculoskeletal rehabilitation, but also metabolic conditions (such as Type 1 & 2 Diabetes), Cardiorespiratory conditions (such as heart and lung disease) and Neurological conditions (such as Stroke and Parkinson's Disease). |
What does a Functional Movement Assessment involve?
The Functional Movement Screen (FMS) is a 7 part evidence based screening system that grades and directs human movement quality and symmetry, and appraises injury risk. Each movement is assessed and given a score out of 3.
We also conduct sport-specific Functional Movement Assessments, including our Powerlifting Analysis and Running Analysis. These are perfect for not only those at an elite level looking for that edge to improve upon your PB's, but also those that are new to the sport, or have been training for a little while that might be constantly getting injuries or twinges, or those that simply want to improve their performance and reduce injury! These two assessments will be available soon, contact us on 0422 873 667 or megan@aspirehealthrehab.com.au for more information!
Our trained FMS & Movement Experts are able to use the assessment results to accurately identify and correct your most limited restrictions and imbalances impacting your movement and performance.
